PROPERTIES
Cebufen is an association of Ibuprofen and Paracetamol which have both analgesic and anti-pyretic effect. Moreover Ibuprofen is a non-steroid anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), with action as inhibitor of prostaglandin synthesis and platelet aggregation. -
INDICATIONS
Cebufen is indicated in symptomatic treatment of inflammatory rheumatism, arthrosis, acute gout, pain and fever, Tendinitis, periarthritis, lumbago. Dysmenorrhea, Muscle pain. -
DOSAGE
1 caplet 3 to 4 times a day for adult. 1 to 2 caplets a day for children below 15 years during or after some foods. -
CONTRA-INDICATIONS
Allergy to ibuprofen, to any NSAID and to paracetamol. Active peptic ulcer or history of ulcer. Kidney or liver impairment. Children below 2 years. -
INTERACTIONS
Risk of hyperkalemia when associate with potassium salts, hyperkalemiant diuretics. It is strongly not recommended to associates Ibuprofen with other NSAID, oral anticoagulant, conversion enzyme inhibitor, trimethoprim. -
PRECAUTION AND WARNINGS
Not recommended in pregnancy and lactation. Association with diuretics should be conducted under medical control. -
ADVERSE EFFECTS
Rare side effects in therapeutic doses. Gastric or duodenal ulcer, gastric pain, nausea, vomiting. Hematologic accidents, as rare leucopenia. Allergic reactions: pruritus, urticaria, angioneurotic oedema, asthma. -
